House Burglary on Pitt Street

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, the victim who resides in the 5500 block of Pitt Street reported to the police that on this date between Noon and 4:00 p.m. She and her husband were working in the front and side yards of their residence. She stated that they had left both the front and rear doors of the residence unlocked and open. The she stated that she had left her purse on a chair in the living room. The victim stated that later in the day she and her husband discovered her purse on the ground outside of their residence. The purse had been gone through and that her credit cards and check book was missing. There wasn’t any cash in the purse. The victim stated that she had canceled the credit cards and checks. The victim didn’t notice anything unusual. The investigating officer observed that there wasn’t any video cameras at the residence.
